Linear vs Point Drains for Indoor Wet Areas
When a continuous channel earns its footprint, and when a compact point drain does the job.

The core trade-off
A linear channel runs 600 to 900mm along one edge of a wet room floor, at 75mm wide and a 50mm pipe height. A point drain is compact — 100 to 150mm square, 25mm high, with a shallower 20mm pipe height. The linear system's footprint buys a continuous drain line; the point system's smaller footprint buys flexibility in tight layouts and shallower floor build-ups.
When to specify linear
Walk-in showers and wet rooms where the design intent is a minimal, uninterrupted drain line. Lineo is the plainest grate geometry in the range; Drop, Oval and Rectanglo trade some of that minimalism for a patterned perforated face; Tileo hides the grate under a tile insert entirely for wet rooms where the drain should disappear into the floor.
When to specify point
Secondary bathrooms, powder rooms, and utility floor points where a full linear run isn't justified by the layout, or where the shallower 20mm pipe height matters on a retrofit. The point range mirrors the linear grate patterns — Point-Rectanglo, Point-Oval, Point-Tileo, Point-Trianglo and Point-Squaro — so a project running both systems can keep the grate pattern consistent across linear and point fixtures.
